Shipping Guidelines
Vault & Value follows the same shipping standards used across the major card marketplaces. These rules exist to protect both buyers and sellers.
Required Shipping Levels
Orders over $20.00 — Tracking Recommended
Any order over $20.00 in value should include Tracking or Delivery Confirmation for your own protection. Without tracking, it is nearly impossible to resolve a non-delivery dispute in the seller's favour.
Orders over $49.99 — Tracking Required
Any order over $49.99 in value must be shipped with Tracking or Delivery Confirmation. You may also choose to add insurance for your protection. Orders submitted without tracking will be blocked.
Orders over $200.00 — Signature Confirmation Required
Any order over $200.00 in value must be shipped with Signature Confirmation. You may also choose to add insurance for your protection. The seller must confirm Signature Confirmation was purchased before the order can be marked as shipped.
Packaging Standards
Full Packaging GuideCards arrive damaged most often because they weren't packaged correctly, not because of rough handling. Follow these standards to protect your cards and avoid disputes.
Standard Single Card (under $50)
- Place the card in a penny sleeve first.
- Insert the penny-sleeved card into a top loader or card saver.
- Wrap the top loader in a small piece of bubble wrap or foam.
- Place inside a padded bubble mailer.
- Write "Do Not Bend" clearly on the outside of the mailer.
Higher-Value Single Card ($50–$200)
- Penny sleeve + top loader as above.
- Place in a rigid card case or One-Touch magnetic holder.
- Wrap in bubble wrap and place inside a rigid box or padded envelope.
- Consider adding tracking and insurance at this value range.
High-Value Card (over $200) — Signature Required
- Penny sleeve + One-Touch or screw-down case.
- Double-box: place the cased card inside a smaller box, then inside a larger outer box with padding.
- Signature Confirmation is mandatory — buyer must sign for the package.
- Insurance is strongly recommended — insure for the full card value.
- Use a carrier that offers reliable tracking history (USPS Priority, UPS, FedEx).
Multi-Card Orders
- Each card should still be individually penny-sleeved and top-loaded.
- Bundle top loaders together with rubber bands or tape before wrapping.
- Use a larger rigid mailer or small box to prevent bending.
- Combined shipping: buyers pay the first card's full rate + $0.50 per additional card.
Shipping Timeframes
Ship within 3 business days of payment confirmation. Buyers expect prompt shipping and delayed shipments are the most common source of disputes.
Upload tracking immediately after dropping the package off. Don't wait — entering tracking after the 3-day window invites disputes even if the card is on its way.
Payout hold: funds are held for 7 days after the buyer confirms delivery, giving time to resolve any condition disputes.
If you cannot ship within 3 business days, enable Vacation Mode in your Dashboard settings so buyers know orders may be delayed.

Insurance
Vault & Value's Buyer Protection covers buyers against non-delivery and significantly not-as-described items during the dispute window. However, insurance covers the seller for loss or damage in transit.
When generating a label via the Vault & Value label generator, you can add insurance at checkout. Enter the card's declared value and EasyPost will insure the shipment for that amount.
USPS Priority Mail automatically includes up to $100 in coverage. For cards valued above $100, you should purchase additional insurance.
Insurance claims require proof of value (your listing price) and proof of shipment (tracking). Keep your receipt until the buyer confirms delivery.
Failure to Follow These Rules
- Shipping without tracking on a required order will leave you unable to dispute a non-delivery claim.
- Shipping without Signature Confirmation on a $200+ order will result in the dispute being decided in the buyer's favour regardless of tracking.
- Repeated policy violations may result in account suspension.
