Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Vault & Value platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Vault & Value. By using the platform, you represent that these conditions are met. The platform is intended for U.S.-based users unless otherwise stated.

3. The Marketplace

Vault & Value is a peer-to-peer marketplace for raw (ungraded) NFL trading cards. We facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers but are not a party to any transaction. All contracts for sale are directly between the buyer and seller.

We reserve the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or cancel transactions that violate our policies at our sole discretion.

4. Seller Obligations

• You must own the cards you list and have the right to sell them.
• All listings must accurately describe the card's condition, variant, and any known defects.
• You must ship within 3 business days of payment confirmation.
• You must provide valid tracking information upon shipment.
• You are responsible for safe packaging. Cards damaged due to inadequate packaging are your responsibility.
• A platform fee of 10% of the final sale price is deducted from your payout.

5. Buyer Obligations

• Payment is due immediately upon purchase or winning an auction.
• You must confirm delivery or report issues within 7 days of delivery.
• Disputes must be filed within 30 days of the confirmed delivery date.
• Buyers may not circumvent the platform to transact directly with sellers.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Listing counterfeit, altered, or trimmed cards
• Misrepresenting a card's condition, print run, or authenticity
• Bid shill — artificially inflating auction prices
• Harassment or abuse of other users
• Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
• Any use of the platform for money laundering or fraudulent purposes

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts.

7. Payments and Payouts

All payments are processed by Stripe. Seller payouts are held for 7 days after the buyer confirms delivery to allow time for dispute resolution. Payouts are released to your connected Stripe account automatically after the hold period.

We are not responsible for delays caused by Stripe, your bank, or factors outside our control.

8. Disputes

Buyer protection disputes must be filed within 30 days of delivery. We review submitted evidence (photos, tracking, messages) and our decision is final. We reserve the right to issue refunds, partial refunds, or close disputes in the seller's favor based on the evidence presented.

9. Intellectual Property

By uploading photos or content to Vault & Value, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use that content in connection with operating the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of market price data, eBay sales data, or card condition assessments.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vault & Value's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount of fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.
